With a short week in preparation of the Thanksgiving holiday, our academics will focus on “thankful” activities and learning about the first Thanksgiving.

HOMEWORK

ACADEMICS

Reading: We are learning how to use different reading strategies to decode the tricky keywords in our nonfiction books.

Phonics: We continue reviewing phonological awareness. Our focus this week is building compound words using vowel teams.

Spelling: No new sorts this week.

Math: We continue making purchases with coins and learning how to tell time to the nearest 5 minutes.

Writing: We are making final revisions and edits so we can publish our personal narrative writings.

Religion: We continue our review of the Ten Commandments and will take the Unit 2 Quiz.

Social Studies: We continue learning about urban, suburban, and rural environments in California.

Science: No science this week.
