We have another busy week in Second Grade. Students have been working on their Saint Report in preparation of the Saints’ Parade on Friday.

A SNEAK PEEK AT OUR ACADEMICS
READING: As we continue becoming better readers, we triple check what we read to see if it looks right, sounds right, and makes sense.
PHONICS: We are learning how the /r/ changes vowel sounds.
WRITING: We started a new writing unit focusing on How-To nonfiction books.
SPELLING: Students should continue working on their new sorts. Spelling Test will be on Mondays.
MATH: We are learning about place value and telling time.
RELIGION: We finished Chapter 7 and will be taking the Chapter 7 Quiz on Wednesday. Please have your child continue working on their Saint Report. Saint Report presentations should be videotaped and posted on Seesaw.
