It was so nice to see everyone at the Saints’ Parade. The Second Grade Saints did a great job with their costumes, reports, and video-taped presentations. We enjoyed watching the presentations during class.

A SNEAK PEEK AT OUR ACADEMICS


READING:  As we continue becoming better readers, we are learning how to solve tricky words part by part.

PHONICS: We are learning the different spelling patterns of the /air/ sound: – air, -are, – ear, -ere.

SPELLING: Spelling Tests will be on Tuesday. We will not begin a new sort this week.  

MATH:  We continue learning about place value using base-10 blocks.

RELIGION: We begin Chapter 8 which focuses on Jesus calling us to live in love.

SOCIAL STUDIES: We are learning how a bill becomes a law and how nations work together.

SCIENCE: We are learning how syrup is made and why people eat turkey for Thanksgiving.

While 2020 may not be the year we had hoped, there is so much for which we should be thankful. I am truly grateful to work with such great families and students. May you enjoy a safe and blessed Thanksgiving.
