Sacred Heart School Wins Big with 2018 Fall Sports!

The Sacred Heart Cardinals’ football team had an excellent season, going 10-0, and taking home the championship with a score of 20-7. One player, Dylan, said, “Feels great, since we won as a team.”

Another player, Andrew, remarked, “This season was amazing, very fun, and it’s a great way to go out.” When the game ended, the team celebrated by spraying water bottles at each other, and taking pictures with the new trophy that they had earned.

Coach Martin excitedly said, “Good year compared to last year, the young team was able to improve, and went from ok to excellent. Consistency helps.” During the games, the team had excellent offense, and INCREDIBLE defense, pulling almost all of the flags off the opposing players that tried to score. It was such an exhilarating game to watch. One fan, Sam, said, “Been an incredible turnaround, from going to no points to scoring points. An incredible season for the coaches and the players.”

Another fan, Amanda, said, “It was so great to watch the kids play together this season and take home the championship.”

Lastly, Carlos and Dolores, stated, “Been a very successful season, and we maintained being undefeated.”

The Sacred Heart Cardinals’ volleyball team also did well. The girls tried very hard at each game and finished the season with a 5-5 record. However, not many of the team’s players are upset. One player, Haley, said, “We did great for our first year”, and many others agree. The coaches and the players had fun, and that’s all that matters. The team went to championship, too, and fought hard and fiercely, but got third place.

Another player, Lauryn, said, “We finished third in the championship, and we did decent, better than two teams, but behind two teams.”

Overall, both of the SHS teams did awesome, losing some games but still playing hard, and making every game count.
