What a wonderful display of mission models and scrapbooks at the School Fair last Wednesday! Thank you for all of your hard work and guidance as these projects were completed.

What we are working on this week

Religion: We continue our discussion of the 5th commandment.

Math: We continue Unit 6, focusing this week on the partial quotient method of division. This week students need to complete ixL Math skills E 4, E 6 and E 20.

Spelling: We will be studying the words in Unit 23. There will be a test on Friday.

Grammar: We continue Unit 3, which focuses upon types of verbs.

Vocabulary: We continue our study of Unit 12 words. Students will be writing sentences with the 12 words. These will be due on Thursday, and we will have the test on Thursday as well.

Reading: We started new reading groups today, based upon our reading levels.

The reading log will be due on Monday (click here for a copy) reading log nouns verbs and Fluency Homework #23 (Fossil War) will be due next Monday as well. Last week I posted a different fluency homework than I handed out in class, so here is the Hank Aaron fluency from last week. I am sorry for the confusion!

Social Studies: We continue reading and discussing Studies Weekly #14.

Science: We begin our study of Chapter 6, earthquakes.

Thanking you for your continuing support,

Mrs. Mary Dwyer
