As part of history class, the middle school is enjoying several different virtual field trips during our current learning challenges. We have viewed and discussed ancient artifacts from the Getty Villa, modern photography from the Getty Center, and experienced an interactive reenactment of the Grenada rescue with the Reagan Library. Last week the 6th and 7th grade were fortunate to have Homer come and visit the class through Zoom to discuss living in Ancient Greece. He also explained a bit about his favorite style of writing, poetry. Next week 6th grade will enjoy an interactive trip to the Penn Museum in Philadelphia to learn about Ancient China. It is wonderful to experience all of the excitement and education of a field trip without the long bus ride!
