The Archdiocese of Los Angeles, as part of the continuing effort to create safe environments for all, requires that all school family members who are on campus to complete service hours take the 3-hour Virtus class, Protecting God’s Children. To comply with this requirement, all who volunteer for campus activities must have a copy of the certificate on file in the school office.
If you have completed, or plan to complete this class in a different location, please send a copy of your certificate via paper or email. principal@sacredheartschoolventura.org
Three service hours will be given to all who complete the class this school year; please note your attendance in the Service Hours Book located in the office when you have a copy of your certificate at school.
Completion of this class fulfills the requirement for four years. Online monthly training is available to remain current without any further class time. Sometimes, participants complete the class and elect to take a 1.5 hour Recertification class at the end of the four year term.
