Our field trip to San Buenaventura Mission and the Ventura County Museum will be next Wednesday, the 20th. You may click here for the permission form: museum field trip Cost per student is $3. The 20th has been designated a free dress day (for $1); since we are going to the mission and museum, please select appropriate clothing with that in mind.
What we are working on this week
Religion: We will continue our discussion of the second commandment.
Math: We will have a test on Unit 4 tomorrow, and then we continue with Unit 5, which focuses upon multiplication. This week students need to complete ixL Math skills V 1, V 2 and V 4.
Spelling: We will be working on Unit 17; book pages are due by Friday, and the test will be on Friday.
Grammar: We continue Unit 3, which focuses upon verbs.
Vocabulary: This week we continue our study of Unit 9 words, but we will not do a test this week; the test will be next week.
Reading: The reading log will be due next Tuesday (click here for a copy) Reading log summary, and Fluency Homework #16 will be due next Tuesday as well
Social Studies: We continue to take notes for our mission reports (your child may also work on notes at home!), and we move on to discussing issues 11 and 12 of Studies Weekly, also focusing upon the mission period.
Science: To finish our current chapter, we will be discussing microorganisms; there will be a test next week.
