Today begins the third trimester. I will be sending home student work packets tomorrow, and progress reports will be going home next Tuesday. We continue to celebrate Read Across America; starting today and during the coming month students can earn a ticket for each book they read. These tickets will be entered into a drawing for prizes, to be held on April 13th. So let’s get reading even more! Before our Easter break, all students need to select a published poem to memorize for the annual Speech Contest, which takes place in April. The poem should be 15-20 lines long. No props are allowed. Students should make two copies: one for themselves and one for me. We will be going to Stations of the Cross on Thursday at approximately 1:45 p.m. You are most welcome to join us if you can! Friday is a half-day.
THE WEEK AHEAD: Since next week is a short week, I have adjusted some homework due dates and some test days as well.
