Dear Kindergarten Families,

I hope all enjoyed a blessed Thanksgiving and a restful weekend!

Monday begins the second trimester!

Picture make-up day is Wednesday, December 2.

Friday is a 11:45 dismissal then back for Assembly at 1:45

Religion lessons are centered around Advent as we prepare for the coming of Jesus!

Language arts continue with rhyming, syllables and letter sounds. Writing workshop consists of writing true stories with pictures, labels, and sentences with sight words. Reading workshop teaches us to find words and letters we know as we read. We are working on retell from stories and facts from non-fiction text with book response forms.

Math lesson focus on geometry using our pattern blocks. We will review counting and number recognition through a graphing activity. A game to reinforce number relationships and recognition, called “Monster Squeeze”.

Science and Social studies – seasons and changes as people and animals prepare for winter.
