Dear Families,

Thank you all for coming to the parent –teacher conferences last week.  I am so pleased that they went so well.  Your children have been working very hard this year.  This will be a short week for the fifth grade class.   I hope everyone has a blessed Christmas and a safe New Year!

Below is an overview for the week.

Religion:  This is our third week of Advent.  We will be working on different activities all week long.

Math:  This week we will begin reviewing for our chapter 4 test, which will be on Thursday.

Science:  We will continue our study about water resources.

Social Studies:  We will continue our study of the European Explorers.

Vocabulary:  We will continue working on unit 6.

English:  We will take our unit 9 test on Monday.  Our next unit we will be starting on is unit 11.  This unit covers pronouns.

Literature:  We will continue our reading of  “The Scribe.”

Reading:  We will continue our reading of The Indian in the Cupboard.
