Dear Third Grade Parents and Families,
Monday morning all School Fair planets projects are due. This includes the poster or model as well as the written paragraph. Please make sure your child’s name is on each so that they do not get mixed up with another student’s work. I look forward to seeing you all Wednesday night from 6:30-8:00pm when they will all be displayed in the Hall. I’m sure they will be a sight to see!
Tuesday we will be celebrating World Maths Day! On this day, each class at SHS will spend some time playing math games in the computer lab at worldmathsday.com! For this day only, the website will also be accessible from home. Each student will have his/her login and password glued into their individual planners should you choose to take advantage of this great opportunity. The following day is World Spelling Day! Again, we will play spelling games in the lab. The same login and password will be available to use that night, too.
Wednesday is also national Read Across America Day. This day is coordinated with Dr. Seuss’s birthday in order to celebrate the importance and joy of reading! In the afternoon, our class will be stopping by kindergarten and reading in pairs with the K students. Likewise, we will be putting together small books for kindergarten students to read to us as well. Friday, we will continue the Read Across America festivities in families.
Finally, donuts will be on sale for $1 all week. They are to be delivered next week on Fat Tuesday.
Best,
Mrs. Espinosa
