Hello Third Grade Families,

Happy (almost) Valentine’s Day! We will be exchanging cards Friday morning. Please remember to send in your covered box by Wednesday. Directions were sent last week via e-mail.

Math: Unit 6 continues with a study of polygons and angles. We will be taking a closer look at a variety of shapes with a special focus on quadrilaterals. The class will be classifying various figures into groups including: quadrangles, parallelograms and rectangles. This week, take some time to work with your child on identifying and comparing angles. Try and identify angles that are bigger and smaller than 90 degrees (right angles) as well.
