Dearest Third Grade Families,
Wednesday night is our big night! The show is scheduled to begin at 6:30, so please plan to be in the Hall no later than then. The students have been practicing every day and sound fantastic!
This week we’ll be studying the following:
Math: The class will begin Unit 8 (Fractions!) covering lessons 8.1, 8.2, 8.3 and 8.4.
As always, I would encourage you to follow along with us by completing the “Home Links” at www.everydaymathonline.com. Your child’s username and password can be found in his/her planner.
Likewise, we continue to practice our multiplication and division facts. Take a look in your child’s planner for the latest progress report and individual goal. As a reminder, this is part of the nightly homework.
For IXL math homework, please complete the following Third Grade skills:
– H.4 Divide by 4
– H.7 Divide by 7
– S.1 Unit fraction review
Reading & Writing: Remember to start looking for your poem as this year’s school speech contest is fast approaching. Check your e-mail for directions as they were mailed to all parents last Tuesday. Each student must turn in a typed copy of his or her poem with the title and your child’s name clearly written at the top upon our return from Easter vacation.
