Dear Third Grade Families,
Happy Mother’s Day to all of our third grade moms! I hope you enjoyed your very special day.
This Monday is free dress for all students who have been registered online through FACTS. A link can be found on our school home page (www.sacredheartschoolventura.org) and I hear that the process takes no more than 15 minutes. If you haven’t yet registered online through FACTS, hop to it so that you can take advantage of next week’s free dress opportunity, too!
In more news, Wednesday is our field trip to Underwood Family Farms! If you have not turned in your permission slip or $10, please do so as soon as possible. On the field trip, we will be wearing our regular uniform tops with jeans and comfortable, close-toed tennis shoes. I would also highly recommend that students wear sunscreen and bring a hat. We will be eating lunch at the farm, too. All students should pack sack lunches with their names written clearly on it in marker. Our room moms will provide a small snack and bottle of water for each student. We look forward to a great day of learning on the farm and plan to bring back lots of yummy fruits and veggies to share.
This week the 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students will continue working very hard with Mrs. Lyle rehearsing for the Spring music program. Mark your calendars for Wednesday, May 18th at 7pm in the Hall. I’ve been told that students are to dress in a country/western theme. Jeans, boots, plaid, bandanas, white button-downs are all appropriate costumes. I’m sure it will be a great show!
Friday is the Spring Fling, our last fundraiser for the school year. The In-N-Out truck will be on hand at lunch, and we look forward to seeing you all at the afternoon festivities on the field.
Only five weeks of school remain. Let’s make the most of it!
Best,
Mrs. Espinosa
