Dear Parents,                          August 29, 2016

Here’s what we are learning in first grade this week!

Language Arts: We will be taking this week to do a bit of phonetic review. During this week we will be doing a number of hands on activities that will solidify our knowledge of letter names and their sounds. In addition, we will practice our penmanship and our pencil grip.

Math: We will be practicing tally marks, likely outcomes and calendar routines!

Science/Social Studies: We will be discussing our first vocabulary words and our first lessons in both subjects! In science we will discuss parts of plants and in social studies we will be discussing how we learn in school.

Religion: This week are continuing our Religion series with our second chapter: God is Good.
