BRR! We received some much needed rain. We have not been out to play these few days due to rain, wind, and temperatures. Please make sure your child brings their jacket. We do take walks around our campus to keep our little bodies active.
A SNEAK PEEK AT OUR ACADEMICS
Language Arts:
Reading: We have finally finished our unit on Word Detectives. Your child will be taking their badges home. Please encourage them to wear them when they are reading.
Writing: Writing Sentences beginning with capital letter, ending with a punctuation. Students have started writing “How to Write a Teaching Book.” Students are learning to write subtopics. Example: Dogs (topic)…how to care for a dog (subtopic)….what do dogs eat (subtopic). It is really awesome to see their delight when they realize they can write more.
Math: Addition facts 0, 1, 2 and double facts are our focus. We will learn about measuring in inches.
Science: Completing Shadow unit
Social Studies: Our country
Religion: Learning the meaning of the prayer, Our Father

Tuesday and Thursday P.E.
Friday: FULL DAY FRIDAY!
Progress Reports went home on Tuesday. Please make sure you sign and return the progress report by Monday, February 12th.
