Homework


 

Reading Log (20 minutes a day/100 minutes a week) Your child will receive a raffle ticket for every 10 minutes they exceed from the required 100 minutes.  Students will ONLY have reading log for homework to be turned in on Tuesday April 10th.

Math:  I will send a math review sheet.  Students do not need to complete during our vacation.  This is only a reveiw since we will be taking our math test on Wedenesday of the week we return to school.

Religion: Living Stations of the cross, preparing for First Communion

Language Arts

Reading : We are amping up our reading fluency by rereading and focusing literary language.  Students are noticing playful and inventive words authors use in writing especially in poems.  We will begin selecting our poems this week in class to recite in the poem contest.  I will send home a copy of the poem as soon as your child makes their selection. Please practice during the vacation time.

Spelling: NO NEW WORDS THIS WEEK.   We are reviewing and learning how to play new spelling word games.

Math: Students are working hard on adding and subtracting 2 and 3 digit numbers with and without regrouping.

Science: Rocks/Erosion/Weathering… We begin our rock unit on Thursday.  What do you know about rocks and minerals?


Events this week:


Tuesday:  P.E.

Wednesday:  Mass in the morning and Living stations of the cross in the afternoon.  FREE DRESS!  Fr. Carlos will begin his sabbatical before his new July assignment.  He will leave wile we are on break.  Wednesday’s free dress donations will be a token of our regard for him.

Thursday:  Library books due! No P.E. Students may wear their P.E. clothes or regular uniform.

Friday: No School
