Sneak Peek to our Academic Week
math: This week we will practice some new strategies for addition and subtraction of 2 or more digits. Partial-Sums method (for addition) and Counting Up method (for subtraction). Later this week, we will take our Unit 2 math test! Our math test is scheduled for this Friday.
reading: We have wrapped up our first fiction reading unit! Off to non-fiction reading we go!
writing: This week we continue to make final touches to our narrative writing pieces. Then, we will begin our new unit and genre of writing…informational!
word work: Word lists can be found in your child’s planner and on Vocabulary A-Z. Spelling tests are scheduled for this Friday.
religion: We begin Chapter 5- Jesus Calls Us to Follow. We will discuss how Jesus called the apostles and disciples. Our Unit 1 Religion test is scheduled for this Friday.
social studies: In Social Studies this week, we will learn all about natural resources!
