Sneak Peek to our Academic Week

math: We are working hard with multiplication! We have learned how to solve multiplication facts using equal groups and arrays. This week, we will begin relating multiplication to division as well as learn a few multiplication fact “shortcuts” 🙂

reading: As we continue to read our non-fiction texts, we will analyze our own reading skills! Then, we will come up with clear goals and a create a plan for achieving those goals.

writing: In our informational pieces, we will begin considering different organizational structures. Our non-fiction writing as A LOT of factual information, so we want to make sure our writing is organized in a way that our readers can follow along.

word work: Word lists can be found in your child’s planner and on Vocabulary A-Z. Spelling tests are scheduled for this Friday.

religion: This week is all about All Saint’s Day!

social studies: This week we will continue on with Chapter 2- Natural Resources.

science: This week we will work to solve the mystery-“What Kind of animals might there by in the future?” by learning about how new breeds of animals are created by mating (selecting) animals with desirable traits.
