Sneak Peek to our Academic Week

math: We will spend this week tying up loose ends in unit 6, as well as complete several math assessments, covering all we’ve learned up until this point!

reading: In our character study unit, we will work to study the main characters in our books by following them up the story mountain. In fiction stories, main characters usually come across a problem in the story and then find a way to solve that problem, which is shown through a story mountain.

writing: We continue to work hard on our SHS showcase project! We cannot wait for our families to see our work!

word work: Spelling words can be found in your child’s planner and on Vocabulary A-Z. Our spelling test is scheduled for this Friday.

religion: This week we will discuss a little bit about Saint Patrick as well as chapter 16 in our religion books, Jesus Died for Us. We continue to reflect on our lenten journey and recognize the sacrifice Jesus made for each one of us. We will also be attending Stations of the Cross this Wednesday at 2:15p. Please join us if your schedule permits!

social studies: This week we will study the different Native American tribes in California. As we read about each one, we will prepare ourselves for a fun project coming up next week!

Have a wonderful week!

Blessings,
Miss Poindexter
