Sneak Peek To Our Academic Week
- math: This week we begin a new math unit where we work to extend the basic multiplication and division skills we’ve learned so well. These next couple of days we will work on fact power and number models with parentheses!
- reading: We are underway in our animal research clubs! This week we will focus on growing ideas in our non-fiction animal texts. We will work to break our main topics down into subtopics, then dive deeper into those subtopics and learn deeper ideas about the animals we are researching.
- writing: This week we will work on the organization in our opinion writing pieces.
- word work: Spelling words can be found in your child’s planner & on the Kids A-Z app in their kindle. In our small, differentiated groups, we continue with our word study, thinking about our spelling patterns and applying them to ALL words, not just the ones on our list! NO spelling tests this week.
- religion: This week we discuss how Jesus revealed the Kingdom of God through his public mission. We will also learn all about how John the Baptist prepared the people for Jesus’ message.
- social studies: We have done such great research work on our Native American Indian Tribes, which led to some awesome diorama building! This week we will wrap up that hard work.
Have a great week!
