Sneak Peek of our Academic Week

math: This week we are finding lines of symmetry in different shapes, then we will work with polyhedron and learn to identify the vertices, edges, and faces of 3D shapes.

reader’s workshop: This week we wrap up our character study unit and begin our research clubs! In research clubs, we drive back into non-fiction reading as we pair up with a partner and work to read and research about animals.

writer’s workshop: This week we also begin our new non-fiction writing unit which aligns with our reading unit perfectly! In this research unit, we will use all the information we read about in reader’s workshop and transfer that information into our writing!

word work: Spelling words can be found in your child’s planner and on Kids A-Z. Spelling tests are scheduled for this Friday.

religion: This week we will discuss Mary as well as dive into Chapter 23 of our religion books.

Have a wonderful week!
