  • reading– Mystery reading! We are steadily working as reading detectives. This week we continue practicing our reading strategies as the going gets tough, all while making predictions with characters. We will also discuss the importance link between reading and writing. Later this week we will collaborate with partners (like crime solvers do), in order to solve the mysteries in our texts.
  • writing– This week we will wrap up our narrative writing unit! This week is all about revising our pieces before the final publishing.
  • word work- Spelling words can be found in your child’s planner and spelling city.com. Spelling tests are scheduled for this Thursday.
  • religion– We continue making and working through our rosary booklets as we talk about its importance, then we will all receive our own personal rosaries and begin praying them.
  • science– This week we will discuss animal adaptations and how organisms adapt to their environments.
  • social studies– We will discuss physical features, learning about the geographical features of our state.

Have a blessed week!
