Sneak Peek to our Academic Week

math: This week we continue working hard with number stories. We will use different types of change diagrams to help us solve change number stories. Then, we will use comparison diagrams to help solve comparison number stories.

reading: This week we will work through figurative language in our books. We will practice using contextual clues to help us make sense of our reading!

writing: In our narrative writing pieces, we will craft the endings of our stories as we learn techniques for improving our own work by studying published writing.

word work: Spelling words can be found in your child’s planner and on Vocabulary A-Z. Our spelling test is scheduled for this Friday.

religion: This week we turn our focus on The Rosary.

social studies: We continue with John Muir, using his ideas and mindset about nature as we take a nature walk and write about the beauty we encounter.

Have a wonderful week!

Blessings,
Miss Poindexter
