Weekly Homework

NO HOMEWORK THIS WEEK! 🙂

Sneak Peek of our Academic Week

math: We begin our new math unit! This unit is all about multiplication and division, but at a higher, more difficult level. This week we will focus on patterns we can look for and find in products. Then, we will practice using them to help us multiply faster.

reading: In our class read aloud, Because of Winn Dixie, and in our differentiated reading groups, we will work on making connections between the lives of the characters and our own.

writing: This week we begin brainstorming our opinions and deciding on the seed idea for our final, opinion pieces.

religion: This week we continue to prepare to meet Jesus. We will discuss the importance of Holy Week and how it commemorates Jesus’ last days before the crucifixion.

This week, on Wednesday, we will attend The Living Stations of the Cross reenacted by our 8th graders at 1:45 PM. Please join us if your schedule allows, it is a truly beautiful presentation!

science: In science this week, we become magicians! We will discover that making close observations like a scientist can help us figure out how magic tricks work. In our lab, we will build trick props and practice performing for our friends!

Have a wonderful week and Easter Break!
