Our week in 4thgrade…

Math: We are continuing Unit 6 this week. We will learn what to do with those remainders when we divide! 

ELA:

-Reading: Remember nightly homework is to read 20-30 minutes! Again, I remind all to turn in our RRJs on our due date this week. All RRJs are due by 3pm. We continue to work from our second reading unit – nonfiction.

-Writing: We are working from our second unit in writing – Personal Essays. We are getting ready to switch from personal essays to persuasive ones!

-Spelling: We will have spelling this week! Please see your student’s daily planner for their words!

Social Studies:We are continuing to research our mission projects this week. This week, we also hope to start bringing in our supplies to start building!

Science:We will be taking a break from Science for a bit as we focus on our missions.  

Religion:We are beginning Chapter 17 this week as we continue to move through our Ten Commandments.

Homework: 

Monday: SMJ p. 150 (posted on Edmodo by 9am Tuesday morning) – RRJ

Tuesday: IXL Math Skill E.2  – RRJ

Wednesday: SMJ p. 154B (posted on Edmodo by 9am Thursday morning)  – RRJ – Study for Spelling test

Thursday: IXL Math Skill N.6   – Study for Religion Quiz – Read 

Friday: Read and Prepare for next week’s RRJ

Upcoming Events:

Tuesday is 100th Day of School! – Dress as though you are 100 years old! (Be mindful of proper footwear for PE!)

Trimester 2 Progress Reports go home on Tuesday

Friday is a free dress day as we celebrate Valentine’s Day – Please have your student bring their Valentine’s to pass out!
