Sneak Peek to our Academic Week-
Math: This week we begin Unit 5! We will work through 5.1-5.4 this week focusing on place value all the way up to millions.
Reading: This week in our non-fiction unit, we will talk all about becoming experts of our non-fiction topics and note taking as we read, paying close attention to the main ideas and supporting details. By doing this, we are able to teach others about our topics, too.
Writing: Informational Writing! In our writing this week, we will work on incorporating ideas as we write. Sometimes, it is good to break up all of the facts in our writing with some interesting ideas.
Word Work: Spelling words can be found in your child’s planner and spellingcity.com. Spelling tests are scheduled for this Thursday.
Religion: As we prepare for the arrival of Jesus during Advent, we will pay close attention to the gifts we can give to Him each week. This week is all about Advent and The Jesse Tree!
Science: This week we will learn about flowering and reproduction exploring the mystery, why do plants grow flowers?
Have a wonderful week!
