Dear Third Grade Families,
This week in your school work packet you will find your child’s Trimester 2 Report Card. Please take a moment to review this with your child. Then, sign the bottom as well as the envelope and return it to school in the Tuesday School Work folder. Of course, if you have any questions or concerns, please contact me.
Wednesday we will be in the Church at 2:00 for our first Stations of the Cross. During the season of Lent, we will be going to the stations each week as a school (always on Wednesday afternoons). Of course, parents and families are welcome to join us.
Thursday is St. Patrick’s Day. In our class, we will enjoy a snack of healthy green foods (grapes, etc.) before recess. A special thank you to our trusty room moms for putting this together. As directed in our Harvest of the Month lessons, we are “eating our colors”!
In math this Thursday, we will also enjoy our second week of geometry centers. The aides are a tremendous help and the class seems to enjoy this immensely. It is a great opportunity to reinforce lessons while having a little fun.
In more news, school will not be in session this Friday the 18th of March. I hope that everyone enjoys the day off and is able to catch up on any sleep lost this week in daylight savings.
Finally, now that we’ve wrapped up Unit 3 in religion, we will turn our attention to the Family Life Series with a focus on family, self and God’s gift of life. Look for a posting on our lesson to the Sacred Heart School website later this week. Each week allgrades will be highlighting one religion lesson.
