Dear Kindergarten Families,
We will keep quite busy this second week of Advent.
Saint Nicholas’ feast day is today, December 6. He may have visited our classroom…ask to see their paper shoe!
Teddy Bear Day is Tuesday. Please bring in a new stuffed animal in support of the Adopt-A-Family program through the Archdiocese in Los Angeles.
Report Cards are coming home on Tuesday. Please sign and return the envelope –the report card is for your family records.
Wednesday, December 8, the feast of the Immaculate Conception, an all school Mass at 8:30. School Mass on Friday, at 8:30.
Parent conference Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
School dismissal on conferencing days @ 11:30 AM.
Language arts will focus on reading and writing, using sight words, number, and color words to make descriptive sentences. The new word family is “an”.
If possible, read each night, list on homework and December book-it form. Find five minutes each evening to practice word cards. It really helps!
Math will be a review of numbers 0-5 and number formation, as we begin Chapter 4, identifying numbers 6-12.
Your child may have told you they have a reading part in the Christmas Program*. They are doing wonderful, singing beautiful, and very excited to be onstage. If needed, help them practice lines. The script was sent home on Friday.
*The program is Wednesday, December 15 at 7:00. Children dress in Sunday best!
I am looking forward to visiting with you this week–
God bless your families!
