Dear Kindergarten Families,
Happy Valentine’s Day!
We begin our day with an outreach program, namely, Mother Nature. We will learn about several animals in this area and their needs to survive. In the afternoon we will have our Valentine’s Day party. Our room moms do an amazing job of preparing for us–thank you ladies!
Our academics for this week will focus on loving others as Jesus loves us, writing about our A+ school, telling time to the hour, and our landform project for the school fair. We are continuing with the sound of short vowel /i/ spelling and writing simple sentences with our sight words.
Interesting facts about many of our presidents will be discussed, along with booklets about George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. Practice math vocabulary relating to time and clocks–word cards coming home this week. Relate how much time it takes for activities or chores at home-elasped time is difficult concept for kindergartners.
No school this Friday as well as next Monday as we observe the President’s Day holiday. Enjoy your 4-day weekend!
