Dear Kindergarten Families,

This week will bring us a new month!

Your children would enjoy their own 12 count of erasable colored pencils and a new box of crayons – a 24 count fits nicely in our baskets.

Please  look for the special Family Envelope on Tuesday. Your child’s Completed Work folder is coming home tomorrow as well.  Sign and return both asap!

This Wednesday is a free dress to support St. Vincent de Paul – please send in $ or two.

Thursday we will attend the Stations of the Cross at 2p – join us if your schedule permits.

Friday is a full day of school.

Religion – finds us learning about Jesus during the 40 days of Lent. Our focus is on compassion for others, love and forgiveness.

ELA – phonics continues with sounding out words, segmenting and blending, sight words, reading old favorites and writing sentences.

Everyday Math section 5 has us using our textbooks now. Lessons on measurement – starts using non-standard measurement tools, such as our hands, foot, objects, etc. We will introduce calculators to count forward and back.

Science is all about the school fair and our mammoth exhibit.

Social studies continues learning about our past presidents.

Blessings,

Mrs. Brown
