Third grade families,
Happy second week of third grade! Thank you to all for helping your students get all supplies turned in.
We are now under way and having a wonderful time doing it! This week we will begin the real third grade “stuff”, along with practicing our classroom routines and procedures along the way.
Important dates:
- Tuesday, 8/20: First day of PE. PE uniforms and athletic shoes!
- Wednesday, 8/21: Back to School Night at 6:30 PM
- Friday, 8/23: Full day Friday
Homework this week:
No homework this week. We will begin our homework routine next week.

math: This week we begin with unit 1, working closely with numbers and number sequences!
reading: This week we will begin our reader’s workshop, where we work to build a powerful reading life and setting reading goals for third grade!
writing: This week we begin writer’s workshop, where we will begin finding ideas and writing up a storm for our first unit of the year, narrative true stories!
religion: This week we will begin working out of our religion books, discussing the ways God calls us to faith.
