Hello First Grade Families!
May your week be filled with the happiest of Halloweens and the most joyful Friday with your little saints! This week we wrapped up our month learning about bats! We enjoyed a special “Pumpkin Exploration Day” on Thursday and Primary Centers on Friday! Thursday we cut up one of our class pumpkins and found by counting together by 2’s it had 102 seeds! We also learned about its life cycle by creating an experiment to see if it will decompose into new seedlings in our homemade greenhouse container! Later we enjoyed mini pumpkin cupcakes sent by Mr. Driscoll. Friday’s Primary Center was a lot of fun! The best part was hearing your students discussing what they already learned about bats while making their own little bats that they brought home to you! Thank you to all who volunteered. It was wonderful having your help!

This week is a busy one!

Monday: Math, reading, and science activities with a Halloween focus! Wear Free Dress! And 8th-grade Tattoos and Bingo! If you bring treats please do not sign classmates’ names! Just theirs if they want a special tag!

Tuesday: We will attend Church at 8:30 to honor All Saints Day.

Wednesday: Picture Retake Day! In uniform!

Friday: Fall Harvest Showcase 10:30 to 2:00. Please see the school website for details!

Have a wonderful week!
