Hello Families!
We had another great “Showcase” on Friday! The students were so thrilled to see all of their family members who could make it!
This past week we continued adding three numbers by combining numbers to make it easier to add the extra one left over. One strategy is seeing if 2 of the numbers combined can make a 10. Then we can add-on with the last number left to the teen numbers. We also wrote word problems to match our three-number addition problems. We did a great job sounding out our words! They were able to get pretty creative too on their whiteboards! We were laughing by the end of math!
In religion, we finished our Lenten cross activity that we hung up in class. They were very colorful. I also think our “Giving Tree” is becoming full of all of the daily good works they have completed!
In reading, we are working on ell, ill, and all endings in our reading passages and for writing. Our spelling words went home in our Homework folders on Wednesday. Our spelling check-ins are done on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Please take our work and return the blue completed work folders that went home last week.
