A SNEAK PEEK AT OUR ACADEMICS

Language Arts:

Reading: We will be working on retelling. We will also identifying the problem and solution in a story through independent reading and read alouds.

Phonics:  Reviewing Digraphs, Blends, Vowel Pairs*

Writing: Writing Sentences beginning with capital letter, ending with a punctuation. We have started identifying verbs and nouns.

Math: It’s all about temperature! Check out the unit 4 Newsletter in your child’s homework folder.

Science: Don’t forget to take a look at our snowflakes we made during science last week.

REMINDERS

  • Wednesday-Friday Parent Teacher Conferences: Early Dismissal 11:30a.m.
  • Tuesday P.E. (No P.E. on Thursday due to early dismissal)
  • WATER:  Please make sure you send extra water for your child.  Many students are out of water by lunch time.  
  • Jackets/Sweaters:  It has been a little chilly in the mornings,  so please make sure your child comes with a jacket/sweater.  I ask that you check to make sure their names are clearly written on their jackets/sweaters.  
  • January 25th: Save the date for Parent’s Day!
