NOTE FROM MRS. VAZQUEZ:

Hello, Parents!

We are in full swing of our classroom routine. We will take advantage of this cooler weather to learn lots without the heat slowing us down. In last weeks email, I mentioned that we are beginning conferences. I only have a few time slots available for next week. Please send me an email if you haven’t scheduled your conference. I look forward to meeting with all of you before the end of September to set some academic goals for your child.

(MORE) HOMEWORK

Homework is to take 20-25 minutes daily. Please include the minutes used for fluency as part of your reading log. Homework should not be turned in before Tuesday unless noted in worksheet.

Reading Log: GREAT job reading daily! Keep it up!

FLUENCY: Our new edition to daily homework is fluency. Please read over instructions before beginning fluency homework. It will be sent home today (Tuesday) along with Reading Log.

Math IXL: A.2, K.1, R.1

Spelling: Study for spelling test on Thursday. There are more than 5 spelling sorts in our class. The students who are working on digraphs or blends have written their spelling words in their planner but are NOT held accountable for spelling the whole word correctly. The beginning sound is counted. For example, the word sheep is correct if it is spelled shep. If your child took a word sort with words on their list, your child MUST spell the whole word correctly. Come join us on WEDNESDAY to hear all about SPELLING in Primary Levels at 6:30.

Parent Homework: Please make sure to initial planner. Always check their homework folder for any information being sent home.
