Sneak Peek to our Academic Week

Word Work: New sorts this week.

Reading: We continue reading nonfiction books. We are making posters to write about what we remember about our book topic. Kids are having fun discussing their knowledge about bats, penguins and ants.

Read Aloud: We finished Dory Fantasmagory today! Please check out the series. Kids love these books as a read-aloud at home. I gave them a preview of the next book series! Our next chapter book will be the Chocolate Touch.

Writing/Grammar: We continue our information writing.

Math: Do review worksheet at home before our math test next week.  I will be checking simple subtraction and addition, telling time to the hour and half-hour, and counting money using nickels, dimes, and pennies.

Religion:  We will prepare our cards for Father Al and Father Ramon.

Art: We complete the second stage of our hearts. Students are using pastels to add color to their hearts.

Science: How can the sun help you when you’re lost?
