Dear Kindergarten families,
Your child is bringing home their Young Explorer magazine and a non-fiction response paper. As you read together ask your child about ‘pointer power’. Have them point to each word as they read, noting sight words and other words they have begun to know. Tracking each work is an important skill we are working on in class; especially during our Reading Workshop.
As always record books, magazines, chapters or time read on the reading log or Reading Glue site.
Your child can respond on the non-fiction or a fiction document to share their reading in class.
