Dear Kindergarten Families,

To celebrate Read Across America we have a new incentive.  You must read an extra book with your child in addition to the 20 minutes. As you continue to read that extra book, list the date, title of book, extra reading minutes (at least 5 minutes) and parents please sign this new log.

ReadAcrossAmericaReadingLog

On Wednesday send in Book-It reading log for March – to earn the last pizza certificate.

Your children are excited about their poems. They are doing a great job in this beginning stage of memorizing and presentation. We are learning to be a good audience as well.

I’m looking  for a few more poems to come in to practice for the Speech Contest. Please note the updated list and choose a short children’s poem if you have not already done so. The requirements for Kindergarten and First Grade are: a published poem 4 to 8 lines one prop if desired. Please send me the title and attach a copy.

Homework is to read – read  and practice poems! We have a short week ahead, therefore I am not assigning any worksheets.

I am encouraging some ixl practice

D.10 Before, after and between up to 20

D.17  Write tens and ones up to 20

I.9 Find the short i word

I.10 Choose the short i word that matches the picture

Enjoy your sunny weekend!

Mrs. Brown
