Dear Kindergarten Families,
Keep up that reading habit! Use form below to list 5 or 6 books you read together during the upcoming week. Spend time reading and re-reading, look for sight words, sound out words, review events or information learned, lastly have your child retell the story or informational text. This should take about 20 minutes per book. Have your child list their favorite book on form below.
Write two or three simple sentences using some of the sight words in list A or B.
Sample: We can go to the park. I like to swing. It is fun. Illustrate sentences.
A piece of lined paper is included in red folder. All kindergarten sight words are listed below. We will continue sight word testing in class through end of May.
Have your child do the Animal Report use form below. Tape the 4×4 square on form to cover the animal.
