Dear Kindergarten Parents and Families,
Happy New Year! I m sure all of you made wonderful memories with family and friends during the Christmas vacation. I appreciate the thoughtfulness from all my kindergarten families – for the Christmas cards and gifts — thank you so very much!
Our Christmas party was festive and crafty, a big thank you goes to out to our Room Moms for coordinating this special event. I feel very fortunate we have supportive parents that were able help in many ways throughout 2012 as well as for our Christmas Party. It takes teamwork and we are blessed with that!
It is going to be a very exciting seeing everyone as we return to school. Gianna will have her birthday on January 5 and we will welcome Ramon, a new student in our class this week.
As for academics: reading about the feast of the Magi and the days following the birth of Jesus. Language Arts and math lessons will continue with review this short week.
Winter begins a lengthy study of hibernation, migration and adaption. We will be observing the North American Bear Center and be reporting on the bear web cams. You be hearing a lot about Lily Bear and Jewel Bear.
January also brings the beginning of our landform planning / construction for the School Fair on March 6.
Student’s Mass on Friday at 8:30 — family 12 will be leading Mass. Please come join us if your schedule permits, we sit in the first 5 rows on the right side of church.
Happy 2013!
Mrs. Carol Brown
