Kindergartner’s had a great time with Grandparent’s and family friends last Friday! Thank you for coming to enjoy the day with us.

Today your children learned a lot about insects during the Ladybug Lady Program. Ask your children about it! They enjoyed the songs, puppets, drawings and the insects under glass.

Wednesday we have a non-uniform dress day in which we raise money for our environment supporting the Sierra Club. Please wear blue and or green and send in $1.00.

Our Academic week:

Religion finds us reviewing Creation and reading stories in our Children’s Bible. Our Promise book teaches us God’s promise to Adam and Eve.

ELA – We are working with letters, sounds, and syllables as we look and listen to everyone’s name. Our strategy will be to note the attributes of a name: counting and naming letters, checking to see if the letters are the same, tall and small. Focus letter is Nn. Words their Way has us sorting fruits and vegetables as we learn the beginning sounds of those foods.

Math lessons continue with numbers, patterns, sorting and a some graphing. We may have time to work with volume at our sand table.

Science review of insects. We had a good start with our program today.

Blessings

Mrs. Brown
