October is here!

Picture day tomorrow! Primary Centers is Friday with noon dismissal.

Your children have learned how the gifts, fruits of the Spirit can help us be our best. Now it’s time we learn about our Saints in heaven.

Looking ahead … November we will have our annual Saint’s Parade. Students from K, 1, and 2 will learn about their Saint and dress as that Saint. Keep and eye out for an email with more information for this special day!

We continue to focus on the letters and sounds. This week /y/ and /w/. Lower case ‘y’s are difficult, remembering it is a hanging letter. Looking for simple words as we read and working on the characters and setting. Using labels as we draw/write making our narrative pieces meaningful.

Math -counting by 10’s, recognizing numbers 0-20, place value, and number formation.

Science – how plants and animals change in the fall.

Social studies – why we follow rules and how to be a good citizen.
