Dear Kindergarten Families,

This week we reflect on creation and how we care for our planet Earth. In addition writing, reading, science, and social studies work together as a unit to care for our Earth. Math lessons continue with subtraction. Over the next few week measurement begins with non – standard units and follows with standard units.

Daily we work on papers with an incentive of earning points for our best effort. Which includes printing our name neatly, correct case and coloring carefully. I am impressed with the outcome! Please encourage this at home for homework.

Family Envelope contains forms for the Color Run on Friday morning May 3. This is our big event a morning of fun. Please keep this date open! It is a lot of fun 🙂

This Primary Centers is Friday with a noon dismissal and our last for this school year.

Homework

This week let’s do the same book report form. It is a 15 point effort. This report works for your children. They are able to tell the story components when we share. So good for comprehension. Encourage your child to do their best drawing with detail and labeling the pictures. Included is a math paper, subtraction with 2. Please do both sides and have your child add some color to the coins and pictures, slow and careful effort this paper is worth points too! Best not to use marker since it bleeds through the papers.
