Hello Kindergarten families!

Hope all enjoyed Thanksgiving Day and the time spent together! This is a blessed time of year.

We light the candle of Hope for this first week of Advent. Religion for the weeks ahead will concentrate on preparing for the coming of Jesus.

The second trimester is here! Let’s take a look at the coming weeks…

  • new beginning sounds – /s/, /z/, /h/ – continued work on sight words “you, and, I, we, can, go”. We will use our sounds and words to write simple sentences adding pictures to our writings. Reading together in a whole group and small group settings.
  • adding teen numbers – ones and tens for place value. Addition number stories, starting to count by fives, geometric shapes, names and noting sides and corners.
  • Science continues with plants and animals in fall and the changes as the season of winter arrives.
  • Social studies takes a look at Christmas around the world.

  • Please support Sacred Heart pantry with free dress -bring in $$$ the next two Fridays, December 2, 9.
  • Food drive! Please help support SH pantry with non-perishables starting Monday, December 5 -9.
  • If your schedule permits, save the date and join us on Friday, December 16 for Mass and special morning with your children. Free- free dress and noon dismissal.

Homework

Tuesday look for the yellow homework folder – your children will have an animal report – reading comprehension passage and math paper. Check Seesaw for activities. We will skip IXL this week.
