Hello Kindergarten families,
Thank you for coming to the Showcase and Sweets on Friday! We are very proud of our school and the displays in each classroom.
The Second Trimester Grading Reports will come home on Tuesday in the Red Office envelope. Please sign and return just the envelope – keep the report for your records. If you have any questions feel free to send an email.
We will continue to focus on Lent and doing our best each day to live as Jesus taught us. If your schedule permits join us for The Stations of the Cross next two Wednesday at 2:00. On April 5 the Living Stations will be at 1:45 to 3p.
This Friday is a 2p dismissal.
Our last trimester we will show best effort in all areas. A look at the next few weeks….
Focus on best printing, sentence structure, punctuation, and grammar. Nouns and verbs! Getting to know our heart (sight) words, using our heart words and illustrations to tell a story. We will get familiar with opinion writing.
Concentrating on addition facts to 20, subtraction facts within 10, counting to 100 by 1’s and 5’s. We continue to work with the number grid and don’t forget tally marks! Counting coins pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters. Graphing and surveying information and reviewing shapes: plane and solids.
Science fun! Exploring new life, the backyard sugar-snap peas and sunflowers are growing well from all the rain. Fingers crossed the chrysalis opens and a healthy butterfly emerges. Watchful eyes for more monarch caterpillars…. . A look at seasons and weather conditions. Animal and plant changes in spring.
Social Studies – community workers, mapping, rules, and world events.

Finish up the writing and drawing for our Classbook- those who have turned selections in are working on final draft in class. Please send in draft of writing and picture this week by the 22nd.
A book response form will come home Wednesday in homework folder. Book response due March 29.
