Academics for the week:
Religion – our journey through Lent- Jesus and his teaching of love and forgiveness. How we can help others with the power of prayer.
ELA – we are using our sight words for 5 word spelling tests! On Friday we took our first test-overall it was great. 🙂 We will do this weekly to help our knowledge of sight words, for reading, writing workshop, and correct letter formation. As you read with your child have them take note of words they know. This week we will study and test on sight words: me, on, go, to, like. Like is a review word from last week. We will continue to read and work on poem “Five Little Ducks” sentence strips and consonants Ff, Dd, and Hh noting pictures that match the sound of these letters. Writing will continue with facts for the School Fair.
Math- measurement longer, shorter knowledge, number practice using dominoes to identify and match numbers, and math stories.
Science continues with school fair and mammoths.
Social studies looking at map and locations where mammoths lived and migrated.
God Bless your families
