Dear Kindergarten Families,

The Season of Lent is upon us and we learn to prepare for Easter. We will grow in our faith as we learn more about Jesus and the days leading to Easter. If your schedule permits, please join us for Mass on Wednesday at 8:30.

Read Across America – The Middle School service department has activities planned for us. We will read and earn tickets as listen and read together. Please note our instagram page and my email for more details.

The Showcase is a big event coming on Friday! February is always a busy month. We have nice projects to show our accomplishments this past month. Some art work for Lent, too!

Reading and writing – daily phonics lessons so important to beginning readers knowing our sounds! Follow Heggerty links provided in email. Next week work on our class books will be our main focus. Writing as we sound out words and using correct ending marks.

Math – place value, addition and subtraction. We are starting to read the analog clock.

Science – looking at the animal and plant changes as spring begins.

Social studies – how to be a good citizen!
