Dear Kindergarten Families,

Here we go Wednesday morning for our first ‘off campus’ field trip. We will be with our fourth grade buddies learning about the animals and plants native to the Channel Islands. The highlight of this trip will be the ‘Live Hike’  video conference with the rangers on Anacapa Island.

A look at this shortened week:

Thursday: a Flag Retirement Ceremony at 11:00 – please join us if you can. After lunch the 8th grade saint presentation in each grade.

If your schedule permits, please join us for Mass on Friday morning. This is a full day of school with a Thanksgiving family activity in the afternoon.

Christian faith and practice – we recognize that God sent us Jesus to show us how to live and love. Chapter 8,  I am Good teaches us to appreciate ourselves as amazing individuals. Based on scripture from Psalms 139:14 “I thank you, O Lord, for the wonder of myself.”

ELA: Preview theme 4  Friends Together, letter /h/, “at” family words; review focus letters and sounds /n/, /b/, /t/ from the last three weeks. Writing cards to  Veterans and our heroes; and sight word work.

EM: number formation, reviewing patterns and symmetry.

This week for science – healthy food choices and our 5 senses.

Social studies finds us looking at past and present family traditions.

God bless your families!
